Youth Work Team
Sam is our 'be' Network co-ordinator & Mixed Voice project lead. He loves cycling, snowboarding and travelling, especially where there are mountains... yep, we think he is a little weird too!
Ryan is our Open Project Lead & Recording Studio Manager. He is a collector of hats and bad jokes & is the original Mix 'bearded one'.
Jake is one of the founding members of Band Academy, loves cake & still hasn't figured out how to use the microwaves at The Mix. He is a gifted musician with a great smile... see what we mean!
Keith is one of our more ‘senior’ volunteers but is evidence that age is no barrier to supporting or empowering Young people.
Keith is retired from work, but insists that he is not retired from life or his community. He says about himself ‘I have a zest for life and learning - working at the MIX allows me to engage cooperatively with others to enrich one another’s lives.’.
As well as keeping the young people & team in chocolate and sweets, Amy brings experience, passion and creativity to our Youth Work team and according to Sammy P is ‘a humble & gentle servant’. Characteristics that we respect hugely and that endear her to young people.
Euan is one of the Open Drop In Lead workers & has inspired us all with his passion, compassion and ability. He says about himself ‘I am a drop-in volunteer, who has autism. I love having autism as it has taught me to be myself, even if it means dancing crazily to 'Macarena' at drop-in.’.
Della is one of our longest serving youth workers, is a lover of insects (dead or alive) and is the resident Spoons champion! If we thought she would take it, we would offer her a job in a second, as her heart, skill and passion are infectious and powerful. Della is an incredibly gifted youth worker & one of the most beautiful people we have ever met
Karen is one of our Leadership for Life coaches & Drop In Team Members. Karen has fast become irreplaceable & has a reputation of being someone who both Young People & Team Members trust, confide in and open up to. All from someone who a year ago said she ‘couldn’t do Youth Work’.
Danny is currently studying Youth Work & Theology at Moorlands Bible College. When he is back he takes up permanent residence at Cabbages & Kings café and pours his life and soul into serving Young people and sharing in our vision.
Could this be you…
The Mix exists to empower and enable Young People to change their world and ours.
We would love to help you be the difference you want to see in the world for Young People and if you would like to know more contact Sammy P at Sam@themixstowmarket.com to find out about our next open evening or to arrange a chat.
