Chair of Trustees
Our chair became a trustee at The Mix in 2012, because she could see that the charity wanted to support young people in a genuinely powerful way.
In her day job, creating opportunities that enable young people to share their experiences of face-to-face and digital support services, she knows that adults don’t have all the answers..and that young people have no problem with telling you “like it is!”.
After a long career in HR, Louise has picked up many talents and experiences along the way. We’re not going to name them all, but all we’re going to say is that you wouldn’t want to play her at table tennis - her days as Youth Worker have certainly paid off!
In her spare time Louise can be found competing in the Great East Swim, and Great North Run, as well as enjoying the summer at Latitude Festival. She also enjoys travelling and has been to Northern India and Vietnam - to name a few. None of those experiences can compare to a place like Walberswick though, and she goes there every year on holiday!
Back in the 80's Becky helped invent the blue smartie... true story! She left the confectionary game when she was 9 and has been involved in youth & community work ever since. She currently oversee the local & global partnerships for the Forge Community Church.
Kate has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and fundraising in a number of high profile organisations, both private and not-for-profit.
She has a passion for young people realising their potential and ambitions and has worked in both fundraising and operational roles at a disabled children’s charity and a national social action charity.
She is currently Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Ormiston Families – the east of England’s leading family charity. She is looking forward to supporting the team the Mix to develop and diversify funding streams.
After a career working with and supporting young people (he's still doing it by the way), we are so lucky to have Stephen's
experience and passion helping to steer The Mix. He is regional manager for Volunteering Matters and a great guide for the team.
